Zeebrugge is an important fishing port on the North sea, linked with the old
and picturesque city of Bruges by a channel 11 km long. Passing the Suez Canal is a great moment. Built in 1869 by french engineer
Ferdinand de Lesseps, it was inaugurated in 1869. Situated in egyptian territory,
it links the Red Sea with the Mediterranean, 161 km long and 40 to 100 m wide,
